I love these plants. Well this year they did great as far as comming up but of course no flowers this year. So I dug them up in preparation for my move. Should I overwinter them in the house or should I leave them outside to die back? And if they do die back can I just store the bulbs in the veggie crisper?

If you store them in the veggie crisper...you can't have fruit in fridge cause fruit gives off a gas. I say pot them up & let them die back in pot....mark pot then just drag pot for the move.....you just don't want them to freeze.I forget, but think they are zone 7 hardy

so where ya moving?I didn't know ya was moveing!Be sure you hollar back at me with new addy so can change you in my book.

I bought more peacock orchid this year...Ironically...the ones I planted in MIL yard we're the ones to bloom, besides the 2 I put in philodendron planter.my ones from 3 years I moved didn't bloom either. I'm sorrys yours didn't bloom, but you make me feel better that we both lost out.

Is it just fruit or is it veggies too? I've been wanting to ask that question but hadn't gotten around to it. I should probably post it in another post. I think they are suppose to bloom starting the second year. But I've found that if I move a plant many of them refuse to put out blooms that year. So this year I didn't get blooms on the sage, thyme, oregano, or peacock orchids. The blackberry lilies on the other hand and the pineapple mint didn't mind being moved at all. Neither did the burgandy mum.
