does anyone else like them? I bought a Vanilla Cupcake candle and it smells just like vanilla cupcakes are baking in the oven. It's great!

I haven't tried that one. I got a Christmas tree one too. I hope it smells like a real tree.

I love em'! although, I tend not to burn candles much.....I have a tart burner that I use (no flame). I have alot of fall smells....pumpkin and spice and christmassy tree smells. But mine is packed away in the trailer right now. :( I really miss it. I can't wait until we finally move and get a place of our own....I miss doing all of the stuff I used to do.

I have a tart burner too. I loved it when I could get the peppermint tarts. They smell so fresh. But they retired them 3 years ago.

I have tarts---I prefer them to candles
spiced cider is my all-time favorite (it is discontinued)--so when the ones I have are gone--i guess a trip to E-bay is in order.

Mistletoe smells good too (like a christmas tree)

I had a few tarts from them a few years ago, they smell wonderful. Best quality I've ever seen.

Sheri: do yo have a "Partylite" candle dealer in your area?? If so you do not have to have a party to get them, you can just call & order--they can put your order in with another persons party.--having said that around the holidays they sell a candle called 'Holiday Spice' they are vanilla and spice--and smell wonderful. I usually go to e-bay when I want new ones. I buy the votives, pull out the wick & use them as tarts.

Also, partylite candles burn very well/slow and this makes up for the extra cost. I am also told that the candles Penney's have burn the same--but i do not know--i have not ever tried them.

And no i do not sell them.--My DD has parties once in awhile

The only place you can get Yankee Candles here is in a little pharmacy about a 20 minute drive away. That store smells wonderful.

I love Yankee Candles as well as Party Lite candles. I bought some candles from a company called Gold Canyon a few weeks ago. I have been burning a Banana Nut Bread one for a couple weeks now and it is awesome!!! I have had many compliments on it. It is a large candle is almost gone. I burn it every night. I will have to call this lady when it is gone because I like it so much!!

I'm not sure about Party Lite candles. I've had a few that come in jars, kind of like jelly jars. Is that Party Lite?

That's a great idea about using votives without the wick.

I don't know Sheri---partylite comes in all forms--the boxes are kinda aqua??--

anyway the votive without a wick is a far cheaper way to go if you want to use tarts--not to mention they are easier to find

A friend of mine was a PartyLite hostess, so expensive. Wow. She did give me a beautiful iron candle holder for my wall and I still never bought candles for it lol

I have two little burners(that you put tea lights under) but hate that I have to cut up the tarts. Do the plug in warmers work well?

I don't know---I bought a plug in warmer for my sister for xmas a few years ago & she has not said it was a problem--but i do not really know

you & I have the same type of tart warmers--and yes partylite is expensive--- but really they burn so much slower that you get your moneys worth.

BUT---like I have said the candles at JC Penneys is supposed to be the same candles but without the name, & so they are less expensive.

and as soon as the candle wax melts, no-one knows the candle has been cut---

I had the tealight kind until my best friend got me the metal electric one for Christmas a few years ago...I really love it...no going thru candles like I used to, no worry about fire, I leave it on all day long and can even go out and not worry about it.

I like the tarts because they are cheaper, and you aren't stuck to one scent too long like you might be with burning a big candle. We have a high end gift shop near me that sells yankee candle tarts, but she also has a woman that makes them for the store and they are much cheaper---like 89 cents each or something and they smell just as good. thumbup

It's almost $3 for a Yankee tart here.

I think the Yankee Brand is $1.89 here......that's why I started buying that local womans tarts, and they really do smell good! Very strong.

If you go to the Yankee Candle web site, I didn't know if I can post it here, you can buy 12 tarts for $15.00.

My tart burner is the plug in kind. I just pop a tart onto it and it is melted in about 30 minutes or so. Do you ever have problems changing out the wax for a new smell? If you let the wax get completely cooled and hard, put the warmer in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes. The wax will pop right out of the burner then. I do this when I'm not in too much of a hurry to change my smell......I've used ice packs too lol I'm very impatient.

Does your Hallmark Gold Crown store have the Yankee brand? All of the ones around here do. Well....they are all 30-45 minutes away, but so is everything else. lol

I've never tried the partylite brand. they were too expensive for me and I really am loyal to Yankee....I really LOVE the cucumber melon smell in the spring. But my favorites this time of year are the baking anything smells! :)

My Hallmark does carry the candles but we also have a Yankee Candle Store - if you can stand the smell.

I take a butter knife to mine and pry it out and it pops out in one big chunk..... lol Very impatient here.

We have several Hallmarks and that's where I get mine....in the clearance section they often have discontinued scents or seasonal scents half off.

I don't think the one I have is a Yankee one.....but I really do love it. I can leave the house with it on and not worry about burning the house down. ...and it always smells sooo good when I get home. :)

I looked and looked for peppermint scented tarts...couldn't find any. Although, Yankee's limited edition smell for this year is Cranberry Peppermint and those tarts are about $1 each one place I looked. Wonder how good they smell? I'm going to have to stop at Hallmark tomorrow when we're at the mall.

After reading all your posts I want a plug-in one too. Where are you buying your plug-in ones. I'm forever burning Yankee tarts love them too. My favorite is the cranberry ones they have at Christmas time. Can't wait to start burning them, love that Christmasy smell.

Have any of you tried the Bath and Body Works plug ins? I love the warm vanilla sugar lotions and wanted to try the plug ins. I just didn't want to buy it and them not work well.

The oil ones??? I've tried them...they are pretty nice. I like the one lily scent that they retired. They always retire the ones that I love and keep the scents I hate.

I have some of the Yankee Plug Ins. I had one that had two scents and you control how much of each scent you wanted. It was vanilla and pumpkin spice. Loved it!!! Now I have to find the refills for it! thumbup

my friend puts her jared candles on a coffee mug warmer & it seems to work well.
and around here you can get the mug warmers for say $5.00.

my tart warmers are both the kind you put the Tea lights under--they just do not have very big basins to hold the wax. One came from a yankee candle store though, it is white (it was a gift)--the other, a medium blue one, came from the Dollar Store.
