The original owners of my house planted this invasive plant several places where it doesn't belong and did not try to control it. I am concerned that as it blankets an area where something else is trying to grow, it will choke out more desireable plants. the 2 areas I am most worried about have daylilies or a pussy willow tree. Am I right to worry?

i'm not sure about that specific liriope, but the ones that are popular here are do well when mixed with daylilies and i grow it around trees all the time (i use it for "driveway border" too because it is so sturdey.
