Just wonderin if anyone has geckos or other lizards. I have a one and a half year old leopard gecko named spanky, and I was wondering if anyone shared my love of lizards.

A few years ago, I bought my daughter a gecko at Petco. After a few days, he had eaten off both of his hands, and we returned him to the store - not exactly the fun pet we were hoping for. Haven't had one since, though I do really like lizards, etc.

When I first got spanky she gave me a little trouble, nobody told me I was supposed to give her calcium and vitamin supplements so it was a surprise to find out she had mbd (metabolic bone disease). But now she's pretty much over that, although her front legs are still bent. Anyway I'm sorry you got jipped on your first lizard experience.

Just being curious, what kind of gecko was it? and did you keep crickets in the cage with it? (if you did that might be what chewed off your geckos feet not the gecko itself)

I used to have Geckos but my Doctor gave me some ointment that got rid of them.
