Bringing Mel's post over here.
I need help from all my webkinz buddies! My 8 y/o son had an accident at school this week. He fell in phys. ed. class and another boy fell on top of him and he broke his tibia and fibula. He is in a full leg cast, from his toes to his hip and cannot do anything but lay with his leg propped up. Today we got him a wheelchair so at least he can sit at the computer now and play with his webkinz. He will be out of school for at least another week and in the cast for 10 more weeks and then PT for up to a year.

He has gotten 4 new webkinz as get-well gifts. Tonight he got depressed as the reality of his situation finally kicked in. He cried for an hour and I talked to him and hugged him and laid down next to him. He finally got through it when a good friend called and he helped me talk Matthew through it.

We talked about registering some of his new webkinz and the fall festival starting tomorrow and that lifted his spirits. Today he read the newspaper article about the mailbox, but he didn't have any mail. So, if anyone would like to send him mail tomorrow it would be really cool for him to get some mail. Just letters would be great. If anyone really wants to send gifts,he loves the pirate theme, the scientific theme, dog stuff, and homemade food creations.

His screenname is webbie618.

Thanks in advance

He has 4 packages in his mail now, Mel. My best to him. Did you read where Ted's kneecap fell off last week? It actually slid about 90 degrees to the side of his leg. He is looking at a year or more of PT, too.

Rachel, he started with a hog, a frog, and a dog. We all laughed about that. He's got two cocker spaniels(father and son), a lil pig, a tree frog, a regular frog, a and a pug registered. I think he'll register the monkey tomorrow. And he's got for the future a chihuaha, and a bull dog, and ohhhhhhhhhh , what's the other.........

If he does get any doubles of stuff he already has, he can sell it for some quick kinz cash. Let us know of anything on his wish list. I'm sure between me and Tina, we can probably come up with it.

Well I do have your number so you never know when I may call......

BTW, my sis just called me---she works for Crackerbarrel as a manage and she is one of the big reasons they just got Webkinz to sell...she was pushing it bad because she knew how much they'd sell....well, I didn't tell you all this but supposedly they are going to have a webkinz exclusive to Crackerbarrel.... grin

She'll be home Monday night with my new cow.....

That's really cool,Loz. I'm hoping that someday they come out with a giraffe. I'm obsessed with giraffes.

Well, I never thought that the fall leaves would fall right in the middle of my painting class in KA. I had a great blob of paint ready in the dropper just as the first leaf I ever saw came floating across the screen. So I start clicking like mad to get the leaf. What do I get???? Just a big red "X" on my report card for the day! I'm kinda mad about it.......

Matthew got me up saying he had to poop @ 4:30 this am. We have been waiting since the accident for this. He's too afraid though. He wants someone else here to help me lift him and carry him into the bathroom. There is no one else here except his 11 y/o sister and he doesn't trust that she can hold up the cast while I carry him. I tried to just scoop him up but he fought and cried out so I had to put him down. He is making it worse , but the poor thing is so scared that it will hurt.

We've been playing all day! I started around 4:30 this morning. While I was taking my painting class one floated by. I had my dropper full of red paint and I was chasing this leaf with it. I didn't get the leaf AND I flunked the class! I was so mad. I'm so good at painting too. That's the only leaf I saw. My daughter got one finally about 1/2 hour ago. It was the corn husk doll.

Now my son, he's been really lucky and happy today on Webkinz. He got the corn husk doll, a fall sweater , and some pumpkin soup. And he got all the gifts you guys sent. He is thrilled and spent the day redecorating his whole house. He was so surprised and thanks you all.

I'm going to keep sending, Mel. But I need suggestions. I found a few leaves. Got 3 apple ciders, pumpkin soup, a fall toque, a fruit hat, and a poster. A friend sent me the fall potted elm tree. The tree and poster look so good in the country themed room (the one with the patchwork furniture).

Mel, Brennan sent you guys some stuff a little while ago. I don't know what he sent. I was in the tub. I will try to get on Mommy's acct later and send something. If he has any requests, let me know.

I just got another leaf. I got a funky fall harvest hat. I'm hoping for a corn husk doll. That sounds cute. I'm dissapointed at how often the leaves are coming. Brennan was on here for over an hour after we got home and got nothing. They should keep it a little more exciting for the kids. Not like it's 'real' stuff that costs them anything to give away.

The leaves will be coming all week, Rachel. There will be a lot of opportunities. Do not sell your funny fall hat. They are very trade-able if you ever start. If I get the cornhusk doll(cow), I will send it to you.

Oo, oo, I'm a big hat collector too! I love hats!

I hate to ask for more when you guys have been so generous, but my 11 y/o daughter is feeling a little left out and with her brother getting so much attention and her being so helpful with it all , I don't want her to feel bad at all or resentful. (The accident happened on her birthday too, poor thing). Anyway, her sn is snowler and she should be on a lot of your lists anyway and I will accept anyone else who wants to send her stuff.

I've been going through Matthew's rooms all morning and re-arranging stuff and taking inventory. It's so much fun and he'll probably move it all around again, but I love organizing his stuff and themes. He's got one large room that is a combination of scientific and wizardry. He has named it Hogwarts and would like to dedicate a corner of it to a classroom type setting. He needs desks and a chalkboard.

He's got a rock star playroom that has the walls, flooring, bed, pedestal and guitar case in it. It's a large room and can fit more rock star stuff in it.

He's got a lily pad themed room, walls and floors with a tv in it and nothing else.

Please go through your own rooms and your kids rooms and tell me your wish lists. I can send stuff out too.

He's got a trading card room with a chest, fridge, table, one chair, and a dresser. Do you think the gaming room wallpaper and flooring would look good with that because he's got that in his dock and this room does need some wallpaper and flooring. If you don't think that the gaming stuff would look good with it, do you have any suggestions on walls/floors that would look good with the trading card theme?

I'll check back here a little later, we're going to try shampooing his hair now and he's not excited about that AT ALL, LOL.

Mel, we have just regular white walls and the wood flooring in our trading card themed room. It looks nice. We'll get some stuff out to your daughter. We don't want anyone feeling left out. I don't think she's on our friends list yet. You'll have to accept us then we can send. If she has any requests let us know. Brennan will never part with stuff he already has, but we have plenty of KC to buy with.
