I need a little help, I had this idea for growing herbs in a terrarium. idea I use herbs constantly in my cooking and have loads outside growing, but I want to use fresh herbs during the winter when all my other plants either die or go dormant. But it's only a 10 gallon tank and I dunno if it would be worth planting the usual, useful, herbs in the tank. Does anyone have a set up similar that could help? why Please and thank you! angel

I'm lucky enough to have an east facing kitchen window so I just put my pots there. The basil, sage, thyme, oregano, chives, and mint are way to big for a terrarium type set up but they do well in a window box planter that I have inside the window rather than outside. But then my window sills are deeper than many so you might have to rig something up to hold larger planters in place. I cook enough that I don't have to worry about humidity being a problem. Of course I can't get rosemary to grow indoors no matter what I do. And that's my experience with indoor herbs. I hope whatever system you use it is very effective for you.
