Tomorrow me and mom are going with my best friend Mel to the Autumn Glory Festival right? Well it's a huge 4 day event....tons of stuff, crafts, parade, corn maze, horse rides, dances, band competition, all kinds of stuff.

I just got back from the library and you know who the Grand Marshall of the parade is this year?

Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel! lol I think it's really cool because dad is a weather freak and we were raised watching the weather channel. Dad can't go though but I still think it's cool. I guess I'm a geek. I mean it's not like he's a celebrity really but hey, it's still neat.

I don't know who that is. I will have to look him up. I never watch the weather channel because it seems like it takes forever for them to get to our local weather. James' brother-in-law watches it all the time though!

He's like the most famous weather reporter on the Weather Channel! lol

I'm always watching the "local on the 8's" here!

I'm a dork to be excited about seeing a weather forecaster I guess. touched lol

Is it in your town or will you be spending the night wherever you're going?

It's only about 25 miles away. The parade starts at 1pm but I've heard you have to get there by 9am to have a parking spot. rspb Gotta remember to wear my comfy shoes.

Technically it's for kids but it's really not a toy. I have cuttings in it for now and later I'll put some germinated seeds in it....it has a special drawer for you to germinate your seeds in...and lights up.....pretty neat. We got it in Ollie's Bargain Outlet if anyone has one of those....on sale for 19.99.

I never drive. lol My best friend Mel came down for the day, she lives about 2 1/2 hours away so I don't see her too often.

The water garden is neat....I really like it a lot. It's the sort of present that's educational and fun! thumbup

Well I didn't care what we did really....and my best friend said she didn't care either way as long as we were together doing something....and SHE really wanted to go shopping, which is funny because she's a tomboy but she's really been into buying girly clothes since she got her new job. thumbup

It was a WONDERFUL day out...just me, mom, and Mel....no men. We all had money....and we ate out....very nice. thumbup
