Happy turkey day fellow Canuks! Just my little blurb:
On this day, we join together to give thanks- for family, food, shelter, and friends. But what does it mean to be thankful; a simple grace before the meal? Quiet meditation on what we have? Or perhaps the notion of sharing out good fortune with those less fortunate? To be thankful, should we not live in the moment and not let the faults of past bind us? Each day, we complain; "the dinner's gotten cold" "leftovers again" "we just had it for dinner yesterday" But seldom do we stop and think about those who have no food to complain about, those who don't even have a cold dinner, nor leftovers, nor dinner yesterday. We are truly blessed to be able to live in this country and in this lifestyle. And thankful, we should all be, whether we are Christians or not, whether we are at fault, or whether we love those around us.
"Blessed are You Lord, for in Your creation, You have blest the earth with bounty. On this day we offer You our infinite thanks and praise You in unity with all those celebrating this festival of thanksgiving. We thank You for bringing together our family to share in our joy. May all the families be in the midst of a hot dinner and a warm house. Continue, we beesech Thee, to bless our harvest each year and may everyone share in our bounty and good fortune. Amen"

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee
