I transplanted the thyme outside in one of the containers last month. And it is loving it! It has turned an evergreen color and just looks so healthy. I am really really please. The rest of the plants are doing ok but the thyme is really heads above everything else in improvement.

Tammy: here ya go. I hoipe it helps:

Caraway Thyme: blooms in mid-spring--can use like caraway

Coconut Thyme: 4 weeks in summer (July)

Creeping Thyme: Summer

Thyme in general will bloom in summer.


You are nor supposed to harvest heavily the first year.--Prune away old wood and dead flowers. In colder cliamtes, heavily mulch in winter.

Perhaps your thyme has not read the :manuel" yet, Tammy. lol
While I found nothing that said there was a year delay in blooms, ya know but it does happen that way sometimes.---keep me posted, ok??

The thyme is two years old so that shouldn't be the problem but who knows lol.

I had a VERY large lemon thyme,'til the dog peed it to death................
