i am posting this to make a few requests of all the seed swappers(jiffy's post from the old forum)

1) THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE MADE THIS A SUCCESSFUL AREA OF THIS WEBSITE

2) any swap request or list that has no replies in 30-45 days is subject to deletion without notice, so please save a copy of your list on your own computer

3) "hosted" swaps will be deleted 30 days after the deadline posted in the original post. if that date changes, please pm me, or edit your post so that the post will not be deleted before its time.

4) anytime you have info that you want to remain in the seed swap area, such as how to save, mail, package, or otherwise process seeds and plants, just pm me, and i'll get the post where it won't be deleted.

finally, if you have a bad experience, PLEASE notify myself or one of the other hostesses by pm IMMEDIATELY

This is my first day at the forum. What are the rules for trading seeds? How many seeds are expected? Any info is appreciated. I belonged to a seed swap before and have quite a few seeds I'd like to share.

Hi Gail, (shortening your name unless you mind?) Welcome again
The usual thing for seeds swaps is as much or a few more than you would get in a standard packet. Unless you discuss the amounts with your trading partner. It should all be easy and fun.

Hi Tina!
Thanks for the info. It's fun trading seeds from all over the country. I even got some seeds from Canada (Canada Mayflower). I have to look some of these seeds up because I've never even heard of them before. Snow on the Mountain??

Can anyone tell me how to retrieve a private message waiting for me? I think it's somebody that wants to trade seeds.

You just click on the "my stuff" icon at the top of the forum. That's where messages are. It is flashing if you have a message.

Is there a seed exchange, a hosted one, going on at our site here now? I am searching the forums, but have not as yet come up with anything.
If there is, would anyone mind sending me the actual link to the page? I am horrid at finding my way around sites sometimes, and today seems to be one of those times.
Thanks to all, and it's so great to be back. :)

Here it is an outside plant. I have white, and just started red from seed. I must of traded off the extras.

They are little but the white ones arent. Cold weather plants here.
