As I'm sure many of us have done, I went online today looking for advice on gardening help and here I am! I browsed your forum and appreciated all the courteous, quick, and helpful answers members recieved from your garden helpers. So I thought I would join and see what kind of trouble I could get myself into :P

Thanks everyone!

You sound like our kind of people - pull up a chair and tell us a bit more about yourself? And when you feel comfortable, join us down in banter hall in the coffehouse where we talk about pretty much anything and everything!

clap Thanks everyone!

Well I am a 30 year old mother of one 11 yr old son Kaleb and business student. My fiancé Jason (26 bow) is a Quality Assurance Analyst for a computer software company. Some of my hobbies include gardening (of course), I LOVE VW's (especially the Beetle), classic American cars, playing Frisbee golf or disc golf as most call it, playing Guild Wars (the equivalent to World of Warcraft only better), exercising, drag racing, cooking, cleaning (yes cleaning touched), traveling, educating myself, exploring different cultures, and just about anything out in the sun!

I'm open minded and fun loving! I appreciate the simpler things in life as well as the complex, there's always a lesson to be learned. HAHA, gosh I don't know other than that.

You guys are great! Thanks for your interest :ding:

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Tamara: for the most part they are/were sweet/good girls. Although they were/are at time "normal" children. lol There are good days & bad days when it comes to their behavior--even yet today. (Although when push come to shove they are there for us.) Do you have a girl or a boy??
FYI: I have always said that my ceramics class was my therapy--(along with gardening)--_As I am applying for a job here soon--I may have to re-adjust that to gardening exclusively.--a shame since I have been doing ceramics this last time since 1988.

I have a 17 year old girl who is wearing us out. She is so dramatic, apparently we are supposed to worship at her feet and meet her every demand. Her last big fit was over the fact she wants us to mortgage our house to send her to University(to be a Kindergarten teacher) because her best friend is going lol

All this from the teen who hates school and kids. She say's she will fix us good, she won't ever have any children so we'll never be grandparents.....great, trust me she wouldn't look after them anyway grin

WOW Tamara!! I sympathize. My son has ADHD and possible Aspergers Syndrome. He is very smart and has a BIG heart (thank gawd) but even at age 11 he is very hard to talk to and have a conversation with. We keep telling him to "stay on the same page" as he tends to wander a lot and seems to have very skewed ideas on reality and responsibility. It's been very hard to teach him things as nothing is ever his fault and you become the bad guy for being upset at him.

Of course the EX and EX in-laws LOVE to play the Disneyland favorites game. That always makes for a fun return home after a visit. So you just look like the bad guy even more. And then you can't defend yourself without sounding like you are trying to turn the poor kid against them. So you just let it be, then they wind up looking like they were right. It's just a crappy situation badday

HEHE wow... I feel suprisingly better. Thanks for the vent session all!
