flwr MAXI WAS CHOSEN TO BE ON STUDENT COUNCIL! flwr

They liked his two little essays. In the first one, he had to write about his strengths and what he would bring to the council. After giving a nice, honest list of his assests, he added "On a good day I can even do strategy!"

In the second essay he was supposed to write about how he envisioned the council and what he thought it should do. He thought the council should be a good mix of boys and girls as well as having other diversity to represent all. Then he wrote: "Our council should do its best to ensure our students have a successful school year. We should resolve conflicts, find solutions to troubles and plan happy events working well with teachers and administrators."

So Maxi is now one of the 6th grade representatives on the council consisting of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. (His school is from 4th through 8th -- the middle school)

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

VERY NICE! clap thumbup

being part of the student council is a very good thing--i'm on mine, i'm 9th and 10th grade council president! all he should do is keep up with everything, don't let it grt to him, get involved in as many council/school activities as he can, and soon he'll be a very respected member[even move than he is now]! grin
congrats to him!

That is so cool for Maxi, Merme. I'm happy to hear all this. He has a good example, though.

Congrats Maxi and Merme!!! Wonderful news! I was a house of representative member when I was in high school. Good times! When he is in college Merme, get him into Phi Theta Kappa!!! I am a member of that and it has been one of the single most wonderful experiences of my life. Even became my college's chapter president. It's not a sorority but an honors society! Sounds like he is well on his way to many more great successes!!
