Sheri - each flower only blooms for one day, and I only have a handful of flowers on it. I have to overwinter the vine indoors - I do this by the basement sliding glass doors that get late afternoon western sun. Last year, Salem, our black cat, enjoyed eating ALL of the leaves on the vine! I had to cut it way back to the bottom by the end of winter, so this is what grew back over spring and summer!
It's on a small iron trellis in a large pot on my front porch. It latches onto the butterfly bush next to it like glue! Looks like a mess, doesn't it? Wish I had a larger area I could grow it on, but then I wouldn't be able to overwinter it and I've only been successful once in taking cuttings, and it's not hardy here.
Thanx...BTW i have accumulated quite a lot of 4 o' clock seeds... r u still interested... think m ready to post very very soon... please PMme if u r still interested...
i believe that somewhere in da darkest night...a candle glows, i believe for every drop of rain that falls...a flower grows....
