This is a Q for all you Strawberry Lovers out there. I recently received a catalog that is touting (marketing) their revolutionary pocket-grown strawberry system. Apparently, the gowing medium is inside pockets (that look like a shoe storage bag). You plant the seeds, water, hang in a sunny spot, and watch them grow. Anyone have any experience with this contraption (before I waste my money)? nervous

Hmmm, it takes almost two years to get strawberries off a plant, I highly doubt you'd get any with seeds. Kinda sceptic on that one.

Is my face red! You don't plant seeds in the pockets; 25 plants come with the pockets! #42009 at www.parkseed.com. $9.95 for two sets of pockets. touchedkat

lol kind of thought something sounded strange. I had strawberries in a pot before and they were fine. I'd replant them in the fall and repot them in the spring.

Can't see why not. My strawberries are still sending runners and are planting themselves.
