I thought I would try to root some rosemary, so I clipped of a branch, stuck it in rooting hormone and then in potting soil. Two weeks later I have lots of roots. Now my question is if I pot it and keep indoors, will it continue to grow, get bigger, and fuller. The "mother" plant has gotten very large outside over the summer and I plan to dig up the whole thing and bring it inside for the winter and try to keep it alive. It is quite sunny in the dining room,so that should be ok.

Jeepers, I've never been able to root rosemary or even grow it from seed. If you have a sunny location it will probably continue to grow.

I couldn't believe that it rooted, and so quickly. My husband suggested trying, and I did since it took no effort. Time will tell whether it continues to grow. I'm rooting another for my daughter in law.

I am glad to hear you are rooting a second one, but to be on the safe side, I would root several sprigs. Then, if something happens to the mother plant on transplant, you will still have some rosemary to continue growing.
