How big do the flowers get?

Looks like my "Ramona" or it also looks like a version Of 'Jackmanni', I've seen them light like this and sometimes dark as well. Now I'm stumped. lol

The lavender blue wants to tell me Ramona but the white center leans me towards Jackmanni.

I'll have to see if I can get closer on the picture. Of course it's not blooming any more. It only bloomed once and it was from maybe April through June. Which is what is confusing. Some Clematis bloom twice and this only bloomed once. I know that when it first blooms, the flowers are more purple than blue but as it ages, it becomes more blue than purple. The blooms are not that large. I hope that doesn't confuse things. BTW it does not have "crimpled edges".

OMG, I am in heaven. I had no idea there was a clematis.com web site. I have been going from university horticultural sites around the country looking for help. I'll have to spend some time there. Thank you very much.

I looks like it might be Eyers Gift but it's hard to tell.

Do the number of petals make a difference on which clematis it is? Everytime I find one I think this is, it has 5 or 6 petals instead of the 7 in the picture.

WOW, Angelblossom. I think you've got it. The discription of it being an "early" bloomer is right and the picture is perfect. We bought the house two years ago and the previous owner was a very strange woman. Even if I could find her, I wouldn't grin

Thank you so very much.
