This is my first time growing basil, sweet basil to be exact. It only seems to grow leaves though so I was wondering where the seeds came from? Is there any way to collect seeds from my plant? Thanks.

Very easy to get. The plants will send up a bloom from the top center. Kinda long & tall, when the blooms fade I just cut them off put them in a paper bag and shake. I think i have a pic. or didnt someone just post a pic of something (bee> butterfly?) on a basil bloom?.....

I read somewhere that basil blooms late summer/early fall. Hopefully mine will but so far no sign of any blooms. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Maybe it needs a bigger pot?

Once the plant gets about 1 year old you won't be able to stop it from blooming. Basils are one of those plants that can be planted any time of the year at least indoors. So the bloosoms can begin about any time of the year also.
