Hello and what a nice little avacado plant you have. I'm brand new and just learning my way around. However, I have owned two avocado trees grown from seeds. The big difference is that I lived in Florida for many years. When my seedling was about 3-4 feet tall I planted it outside. You will certainly need to see if your climate will permit this. Our tree produced fruit in five years, I think. It was wonderful fruit.
I don't believe there will be any branches until the plant is a bit older. I'm sorry I don't really recall how long that took. Best of luck and good work!

Hope you have a pretty big yard, this plant can grow to be up to 60 ft. !! At least the ones i saw back home. The Hass avocado plant is smaller and i even saw some online that people grew on big pots on their own back yard. I guess it all depends on what type of seed you planted.

Thank you both for commenting!!! I had no idea what to expect. Now I won't be 'anxious'!

Mine hasn't branched out but the leaves have gotten really big. Here's the most recent pic of mine. His name is Fred and he is outside for the summer, but will be coming back in soon.
