I have an elec. pole pruner that I love for reaching. It is top heavy but I never extend the pole. If it is too tall for me to reach, I get my old man to bring out his gas one. The end comes off and becomes an elec 10" chainsaw. Great for close in work. This helps me cope with my growing arthritis problems.
But the whole affair cost me under $100 with the purchase of an extra chain. It was my Mother's Day gift a few years ago. I'm not sure I could handle 1,600. I would be afraid to use it; worried I would break it.

If you do a lot of pruning that's what you need.

$1600 for a pruner! Makes bargain shopping loz shocked! lol I thought it was a typo when I saw that price. I guess if you have the money and you really want them go for it! Is there anything comparable to those that's less money? I'd do a lot of research if I spent that much. Then again I'm the ultimate bargain shopper.

You'll probably need to buy two - just in case you mislay your main one!

My guess is that there won't be one better in quality than Felco. They are almost the top brand among tree care specialists.

But there may be another brand that's less expensive. But it can't be too much less if its going to hold-up to continuous use and make the cuts as big and long as the specs indicate for the Felco.

Actually, the first link I saw yesterday, was for a company selling them at near $2500 - almost a thousand dollars more.

See how much money you can save with 5 minutes of shopping? bow

I'm with you Loz..I'm a frugal gardener. For $1600.00 they should send a landscaper to prune for you! :-)
