It sounds easy for a beginner like me and it looks reasonably priced and has gotten very good reviews. I've thought about making purses and handbags and selling them, along with a few other misc things I want to make and sell online.

It looks like a very good deal to me. Making purses, especially quilted purses and/or fancy ones, may be a good thing to sell also.

Do you have some local places you can go to or call if you need advice? why

When you get your first project made, please let us see. That way you take your bow and we can all shots clap

No local places that I know of other than the craft stores to give me advice. That and I'm the only woman in my family that doesn't sew. It's going to be a while before I can buy the machine, but I'm hoping my mom and grandmother will help me out with that. I've been trying to think of things that I could make and sell for some extra income (hopefully for all my income someday) and have come up with lots of ideas. Now I'm researching on how to build a successful website to sell products online.

Cheryl,

If you go to my last post on Sewing projects, you'll see some coasters I made. They are fast and easy and you should be able to make them on the sewing machine.

It took longer to "color" them than it did to sew them!

They are each made with two pieces fabric with cotton batting in the middle.

Those are really neat! My brain is fueled with so many ideas right now I wish I already had a machine and had gotten interested in sewing years ago.

The link has expired. Was it a sewing machine?

why

You can sell handmade things on Etsy too. and ebay, Another way to get going is to sell at local church or school craft bazaars.

It was an electronic sewing machine. Singer touch and sew. Didn't know the link would expire.
