I've told a bunch of people that I've been bowling on the Saturday morning doubles [two person] league at the bowling alley... well, today was the last week, the week of the playoffs, where the top 8 teams played against each other to get to the semi-finals, then the finals...and guess who won? grin

The first match wasn't that much of a challenge..the lanes were very oily, though, and my bowling bal for very LIGHT oil... so, I was basically throwing a straight ball, at the pins, for that. The matches were baker-challenge, which meant that I bowled a frame, my partner bowled a frame, i did, she did, so on. We won, but because of our handicap[the extra points to equalize the averages].. ours was 130, because of me not bowling good grin

In the semi-finals, we were right on track with everyone...i threw a strike, the other team through a strike... we ended in a tie the first game in that. We lost the next, but, because of our handicap, we won the semi-finals by 10 pins.

The Finals was very challenging... we were bowling against the two best junior-bowlers on Staten Island. We lost the first game, but came close in the second. We won that, which meant we won the finals, and the league grin

..that's a $200 scholarship! grin
We did mess up a few times, missing spares, getting gutters, choking, getting too nervous, and all that, but my handicap pulled us through.. and the fact that I bowled decent lol grin

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I wouldn't call winning a $200 scholarship only decent...you're so modest

Thanks, everyone!

Merme, I use the scholarship money for college.. I'm not allowed it until then lol

I was just upset that I wasn't hooking my ball, I was throwing it over the third arrow from the gutter of the right side[not that many of you know what that is; it's close to the center of the lane].. but it worked! lol
Everyone was there, my mom, the bowling kids[not calling them friends anymore  ], all the adults, and the person who's head of us coaches.

Kenny, ALL I'm gonna say is that she's been a bunch of problems, hastle, and hurt feelings... she's been part of this group [more of the main member] that's been causing me so much trouble  lol
..but a good person lol
