BIL is doing a job and the owner had me come over to help ID some plants.This is one of them.I'd like to know how others have done rooting this.I'm not finding much info.When I go back.I'm bring some back.i'll plant it but some of it will trim down& wanted to root some to increase....cause now that have seen pictures....I WANT THIS PLANT!!!!!!!!!!!!! its clerodendron Bungei a pretty pink.


does it seed?
I broke the tip off and am HOPEING the tip will root.
I'm glad its invasive.It was at the edge of a 'mass' of trees shrubs fallen trees.

It sends out runners underground -
and it runs and runs and runs .... zoink

Starting a new plant is as easy as digging up a smallish one,
being sure to get deep enough to get some nice roots,
then replant it in a pot, or directly into the ground
(that is, if you're sure you don't mind it trying to take the place over -
at my house, we call it a "garden hussy" lol
because of the way it spreads itself around -
it sprouts up as much as 10 feet away from the mother plant egad).

** Be sure to keep it well-watered until it is established.

It can also be started from semi-hardwood cuttings -
so if the piece you got was 6 or 8 inches long,
it might very well work. Just remove all but a few small leaves
near the tip, and any flowers or flower buds.

It might root in water,
but I use the Forsythe pot method for nearly all my cuttings. thumbup

zuzu, what is the forsythe pot method? i'm not familiar with that?
