I got this at a yard sale. Any idea what it is and how I take care of it. It was pretty overwatered when I got it so I've let it sit for the past two weeks. It's also got roots sticking out the bottom of the pot so I was going to repot it in a bigger pot but when I took it out of the original pot, the soil is practically clay. Is this a result of being overwatered or does this plant actually need to grow in clay like soil. Any ideas? It's probably about 12 - 18 inches tall and the leaves are about 6 inches. photos are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sharonbc/tags/yardsaleplant/thanks, sharon

I don't know the name of it but I have seen it around as a houseplant. Maybe it is in the Dracenea family?
Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!
