What's everyones plans for Memorial Day?

My sons are going elsewhere, so I will be here.
A couple at church, who are good friends, have asked me to join them and their family Monday for a BBQ etc. so I think I will accept their invitation.

And of course...watch the 500 Mile Race!!!!

How about you?

My memorial weekend plans are up in the air---My youngest daughter's First Wedding Anniversary is May 27th. They are going away for the weekend and We are "grandpuppy" sitting.

My oldest and her husband are coming over to BBQ either Sunday or Monday---that is not worked out as of yet. The good news is I have done all the shopping for the meal. I am going to have Chicken & and I have a new recipe for chocolate cake that I want to try. Wish me luck!!
Everyone have a safe & happy holiday!! bop

I have no plans. And no plans are the best kind. Jonni has to work and Ted is a little sick. So it will be a low key weekend.

I had no plans, have to work today which is fine because it's double pay. Good thing we didn't make any plans because my car broke. Again.

Not at all. I've had good luck with it for the last 4 years and now I've had to have it towed 3 times in the last 2 months. I'm going to try to get into a newer car after work today.

lol I caught that right away, I thought why are we talking Mem. Day in September. lol

I don't think we'll be doing much....maybe we'll use the BBQ over at moms and have a little cookout or something.

yep labor day!! lol

I am helping to "wait" for a friend's daughter's wedding reception they are having in their yard on Sunday----(Don't know when the wedding is)

So I think we are most likley going to have the girls over for a BBQ on
Saturday----because i think Emily will have to be driving back to school on Monday, before night, & it is a 4 to 5 hr drive.

well daughter # 2 said that since we had just had a BBQ in her honor 9since she was returning ti college) we should all go out to eat--so we are going to a Popular fish place in Grafton, IL. the Fin Inn (they have very large aquariums at the end of all the tables.

then we are going to daughter #1's house--she wants to show off her house--the one she just moved to..

I have been in Oklahoma canning tomatoes at the in~laws today, and we are staying the night, then driving back home tomorrow evening. On Labor day we will go the Fair to see the parade, then eat ham & beans(a free~will donation dinner for the Lion's Club of which my Dad is a member of), & ride carnival rides. Always a fun day!
