ooops almost forgot Friday my one volunteer sunflower the deer couldnt get to because its smack dab in the middle of my fenced in veggie garden.

The bug on the feeder is a praying mantis. Lovely flowers all, mine are starting to fade, I don't have any real late bloomers except for the sedum and that was under water for a few days, hopefully no lasting damage.

Gorgeous photos! I am definitely going to try a sunflower patch next year. They are lovely. Brugs are so interesting and pretty, I am assuming they are a higher zone then 4 kind of plant. Really pretty!

Very nice, Wrennie! You are so lucky that deer haven't eaten yours too, as you live in a more rural area than we do.

Do you like to POP the seed pods, like I do? It's so much fun, when they are big and round and full - they are very springy. Kids especially like seeing that, and it's a great way to spread the seeds for next year.
