Hi,

I have some carpet roses in my front garden that I was told to "dead head" as each bloom dies off. What is the proper way to do this? Do I just snip off the old bloom, or do I cut further down the branch?

Because carpet roses are usually very floriferous, it's easier to just cut off the old bloom.

Thanks, alankhart! I noticed quite a few dead blooms when I was watering today so I'll follow your advice and just snip the blooms. Thanks again.
