As some of you already know, I do much crochet in thread work, making miniatures. Today I found a darling pink bunny pattern in a little white dress I am going to TRY to miniaturize for our Miss Maddie. A dainty girl like she is should have a dainty little bunny.
Dunno how well it will work as the pattern is complex and I will be working quite small.... I'm thinking perhaps 4 to 5 inches high, total.
Somehow I'll get pictures to show y'all as I go along.
Wish me luck!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I am going to ATTEMPT to use a crochet technique known as AMIGURUMI which is the Japanese word for "Crocheting stuffed animals". This technique gives the creatures a distinct and quite cute look.

Good luck, Merme I did a few amigurumi last winter after I refreshed how to crochet - it's really pretty easy and there are tons of patterns to try! Here are 2 that I made... Lynne ~ the one you posted from the Lion Brand web site is the one I am going to TRY to make. I do not know how well the technique will miniaturize... that's why I say I am only going to TRY to do it! Otherwise, I'll just have to make it full-size but that won't be quite as a adorable.

Merme, I just got a chance to come down to see this thread. I'm very interested in how your little bunny turns out. Maddie doesn't have a bunny yet. She has a nittany lion (go Penn State.....the indoctrination has begun early) and a small bear that plays music as well as a beanie baby bear and a small grateful dead bear that her uncle got for her.....that's about it.

Jenn, I only have a very old address for you. Could you PM me a current one so I know where to send the little bunny?
I had a blue bunny when I was small. His name was Robert Henry My Blue Rabbit.
