First off let me tell you I can't remember ever seeing a house wren since I have lived in this home. Carolina Wrens, yes, but no housies.
This morning I go to my kitchen sink which has a window looking out at my yard. Marton had just stacked a cord of wood right in my view. rspb But I can still see my potted coleus and rosemary. So, I look out and what do I see but a little house wren land on the coleus' pot. Aww, then he makes his rounds around the rosemary back to the coleus... then... he bops over to the barbecue grill. We have a small charcoal grill. It is very low to the ground and has a small tray under it to catch the fine charcoal dust that falls out. Well he saw that as a perfect place to take a dust bath! Then back around the plants a few times, and onto the wood pile to inspect for breakfast. Quite a nice treat for me first thing in the morning.
clap
ps he was too fast for pictures. i tried.

House Wrens are ALWAYS too fast for pictures. A couple of months ago I took thirty pictures of a small flock of then and had EXACTLY ONE good picture out of the bunch.

UNBELIEVABLY fast. One of the hardest birds I have tried to photograph.
