Hi everyone,

I thought I would share a couple butterfly photos that I've taken recently....

that butterfly really is pretty. I've been chasing a large black and yellow one around my place for several days. I still haven't got a picture of him.

I'm 46 and I'm still chasing butterflies.... :)

It is an Anise Swallowtail.

I love taking photos of butterflies.....I'm not sure what kind of butterfly though....I need to get a book.......I'm 43 and chasing butterflies too..... I think we appreciate them more now that we're more mature.....lol

The very first pictures I believe are zebra swallowtails, the anise is much darker like a black swallowtail and found west of the Rockies. The zebra swallowtail is found in the south. The second butterfly is the tiger swallowtail, the next is a monarch. Then another swallowtail, probably black swallowtail. Tonya your first one is a monarch and your second one is probably the Palamedes swallowtail..

wow mel those are so beauitful! except for the chrysalis thing, hard to belive such a beauitful butterfly was ones a cattapilliar thing hu? thats cool you raised one,
