to put in a fall vegetable garden? I've compleatly missed any gardneing this year due to pregancy and complications. So my veg bed has had most of the season to relax and grow weeds.

I'm in zone 8b and I don't think we get a real frost until about February, with the occasional snap running from October to January. I think I can protect most plants from a frost snap well here. I've got mums that winter outdoors and they do well with some protection.

I'd like to know if there are any recomendations on fall and winter gardening. I'd like to get something growing again.

Onions, cole crops like broccoli and cauliflower, and winter squash could be grown now in my zone 9. They take some babying through the 'Indian summer' days here which can last well into October. Ask your local extention office.
