My daughter has that EXACT camera, bestofour. She has been staying with us for awhile and I borrow it frequently. It is a SUPERB point-and-shoot camera. It is the BEST I have used yet for bird photography. When you get it, try to get at least a 2 GB card for it and also a battery charger and four (or better yet 8 ) AA rechargeable batteries. This camera uses 4 AA batteries at a time. I recommend the 15-minute rechargeable batteries and the charger made for them. IT is WELL, WELL, WELL, worth the money!!!

Thanks Thornius. I'll do that. I read reviews about the batteries going dead quickly.

I don't know if I have the exact same one, but mine is darn similiar. I've had it for 2 years, taken around 8000 pics. I don't think that it goes through batteries as bad as most. We charge ours around once a month, taking, probably around a few hundred photos on a charge. The pic size is set at large too. And I'm a flash girl. ALways gotta have the flash on, to help even out shadows, even in full light. I would highly recommend it. Just wish we would've gotten that price. boohoo lol

Make sure you read the manual so you know all that it is capable of. Stephen read through our entire manual (not the same camera) and he knows all sorts of things about it. I haven't read it and all I know is that when I'm taking pictures of Maddie, I have to put it on "scene 2" so that it encrypts the photo with her information.

Hey sorry I'm replying so late...

GO FOR IT!!!! I use a Canon Powershot S3 IS and can say it's a very nice camera grin It's light on batteries and also can get excellent quality photos grin... you just need to figure out the settings and bang you got a excellent buy grin

It's a very easy camera to use since it can zoom in a LOT and has macro and super macro on it grin

Going to find you a few nice shots I took with mine grin

What great pics!! My most used setting is macro (or the super macro) just 'cause I like to see what I'm missing. I checked and your camera is actually a newer version than mine. Mine being the PS S2. Next time you get an awesome freaky praying mantis, be sure to use the super macro to get his pic!
