Hi everyone,

I am a novice gardener, and I have a question about nasturtiums:

I recently grew a gorgeous display of creeping nasturtiums in a large container by my front door but it (sadly) died off due to some sort of fly infestation. When I pulled the plants out I got a terrific harvest of nasturtium seeds, and I'm wondering how to properly save them to re-plant. I put them on some dry newspaper in the garage to let them dry out. Is that the right thing to do? And how do I store them?

Thanks for your advice/input...

Once they are suffientently dried, store them in something that won't collect moisture, then keep it in a cool place until next year when you're ready to plant.

I use iceing containers.sour cream tubs.coffee tubs& stick a gel thinggy inside for the moisture issue and write name?& date on container.Mine didn't do seeds.mine haven't died, they are just still. When we stayed in triple digits for about 2 weeks they shut down.I'm hopeing they'll bloom again.Only ones left are in pots. The in ground ones are toast.

Thanks for your advice, everyone. Njoynit, where do you find those gel packets to absorb moisture? Is there somewhere I can buy them? We live in a pretty damp climate so keeping things dry can be a challenge...
