So some time in july I decided I would see if my datura can be direct sowed and will bloom. And they are blooming! I came home today, and found the bud halfway opened. I sowed some lilac datura and some white ones, and some la fleur lilac one
interestingly enough, whatever bloomed is white with a purple throat

NVM, i googled up la fleur lilac and it turns out that they are white with a purple throat, what amazes me now, is that thye plants are only about a foot tall, only eight leaves, and have three buds (which one is blooming) I also have some more buds on some even smaller daturas!

Also, I was chatting with Angleblossom, and she mentioned that 'if the stem of the datura plant is green, it will most bloom white, and if the stem is dark or purplish, then the blooms will be purple! very interesting!

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Those are the stramoduim seeds.I grow those.I've had blooms on 4 inch plants.I'd like the liliacs back.I like them& with the temps sometimes they look blueish.I think the liliac ones do a better job of trying to open. Those you got only get about4-5 tall& wide.I've read can be 8 ft tall.I relocate seedlings& will fill a ditch this fall with seeds...for the purpose of not mowing it.

My whites are starting to get ready to bloom.maybe tonight.Definately at least 2 of them before possible Dean invasion.
