So some time in july I decided I would see if my datura can be direct sowed and will bloom. And they are blooming! I came home today, and found the bud halfway opened. I sowed some
lilac datura and some white ones, and some la fleur
lilac one
interestingly enough, whatever bloomed is white with a purple throat
NVM, i googled up la fleur
lilac and it turns out that they are white with a purple throat, what amazes me now, is that thye plants are only about a foot tall, only eight leaves, and have three buds (which one is blooming) I also have some more buds on some even smaller daturas!
Also, I was chatting with Angleblossom, and she mentioned that 'if the stem of the datura plant is green, it will most bloom white, and if the stem is dark or purplish, then the blooms will be purple! very interesting!
