We got a puppy on Saturday. She is 4 months old. The people that had her didn't have enough time to spend with her and they lived in town and said she needed more room to run. They always had her on a chain when she was outside and she likes to run. So, we got her and we just love her!!

She has quite a bit of energy right now. When we have her outside she runs wild. I was teaching her how to fetch last night. But when we come in the house she really likes to snuggle.
She is a rat terrier. She will get a little bigger than she is now but not a whole lot I don't think. I was reading about them yesterday and rat terriers have such a wide range of sizes. But, we are friends with the daughter of the people that bred her and she said that she isn't much smaller than her mom is now so we are thinking that she won't get much taller or longer. Maybe just fatter!
Jessica I love Her!!!!!!!! And Her name!!!! When I first saw her I thought she had Jackrussel in her,, Her nose and face frame puts me in mind of Emmy's bone structure of her face! Must be the Terrier trate!
She is just precious!!! Thank you for for giving her more room to run and lots of loving!!!

rat terriers are a lot like jack russells. very smart and very energetic. lots of land to run on is a good thing. so is someone who is interested in teaching her tricks. she'll learn anything you want to teach her.
Welcome to the forums... Your a real cutie.......Wanna come see me????????
I used to have a part terrier .....Same colors and shorter and stocky.. We had her for 15 years and called her Georgie............Everyone thought it was a boy.....Not so .. After she died we revealed the truth.. ha ha
i loved watching the little thing run up and down my veggie rows with a gallon milk jug in her mouth......All you could see was the jug.
She is very energetic and smart. I want to teach her all kinds of tricks but right now we are working on fetching. I'm teaching her to drop it and not try to grab it when I pick it up. She is doing really well.
Last night I took her over to my mom's for a little bit. Once we got in the car, she climbed up and laid on the top of my back and shoulders and stayed there the whole way. It wasn't the most comfortable thing for me but she really seemed to like it.
She is a spoiled little dog. Last night James made a comment about the dog having more treats than him and Tristen have. That isn't true though. She only has one kind of treat right now. James and Tristen are just too used to being spoiled.
Libby got to go and play with her sister last night. We had some shopping to do and instead of putting her back in her kennel we brought her to James' sister's house who has a puppy from the same litter as Libby. They wrestle non-stop when they are together but it is fun to watch. It sure wears her out though. When we got home she ate a bunch of food and went right to bed (our bed ).
Jiffy and Dodge...I know it is the right thing and I'm glad I did it. It has been a week since her surgery now and she is doing great! You would never know she had anything done unless you looked at her stitches. She runs around like nothing ever happened. I will get some new pics of her soon. She has grown!
Here is a pic of Libby on Thanksgiving with one of her many sweaters on. I like to buy her sweaters!
When we got our dog James' sister got one of her sister's and his nephew and his gf got one of her sister's too. We get them together all the time and they wrestle around. It is fun! We decided that we were going to take a pic of them together and send it to the people that we got them from for Christmas. The breeders are a family friend so we know them well. We attempted this photo session yesterday and as you may have already guessed it didn't go that well. Trying to get 3 puppies to all sit by each other and stay for a pic is not easy. This is the best one that we got and it is not that great but it will work! Libby is on the far right!
Oh yeah....I got that at this sale I went to. You could pick out the collar that you wanted and then buy the letters to put on it to put their names on. The Y always slides away from the others though. It makes me mad. I picked the camo collar and put some bling bling on it.
I think she is as big as she will get Lynne! She might get a little thicker with all the treats she gets but that is about it. She weighs about 11 lbs. right now.
i think she said rat terrier barb. nice looking pooch.
Thanks Jiffy, glad someone answered me. Ok the terriors are a very intelligent breed........I used to own a part manchester terrier..........Same colors but no white.
jack russell is the nicest of the lot.....They like to kill snakes..ha ha I had to kill one huge black snake .. Coming down the trunk of a huge tree in my yard.. HD was at work.. So I took the broom and hit it as hard as I could.. Knock it silly I think, Then I got a shovel and cut it's head off.................... It had me really mad....... I did what was best for me..
