Figured I'd put them in a new post.....I had to google it to make sure that they really are frog eggs, but yep they look just like the pics I came across.

That's a lot of eggs!

How did they get there-- do you have frogs?
Are you going to keep them?

I swear my neighbor just gave me 2 frogs for my pond a few days ago....I didn't expect them to have frog babies! lol

I guess I'll leave them and see what happens....some will be eaten by the fish I suppose........I can't believe they lay that many eggs at once! lol

Loz,
If there was a way to get some of those frogs I'd gladly take them. We have had ( in San Antonio, Texas) an unusual over abundance of rain for way too long and the mosquito and ant situation is very bad. I saw one toad in my plants the other day but he mustve been pretty full from eating so many skeeters that he just laid in the pot not wanting to move even when I petted him. Those frogs would really be welcomed in my garden.......

That is so cool, Loz. We got a tadpole from the only watergarden place in town, for free, and as soon as he was able to hop out of the pond, he ran away boohoo The pic is great, thanks for sharing.

I had that huge clump of eggs then it seemed like they totally disappeared the next day....I don't know if something ate them or if they are swimming around already. I should check it out I guess. lol

Glad you have some swimming, might head out and take a look at the pond and see if I see any.

i wonder if other frogs would eat the tadpoles? hopefully there just hiding!

i did notice the big mama frog still hangs around but wont go in the bottom pond anymore since the tadpoles are there, she jumps up in the tiers n hangs out up there, n shes not eating them so that might be a good clue they wont eat there own, thumbup i havent turned the pump on cause im to scared they might get sucked up in it nervous, so theres alot of mosquitoes larva in there, n some other kind of larvas, their shorter n wider than the mosquitoes with antler lookin things, lolgonna have to google water larva bugs to find out what they are

grini love watchin them swim around! there so cute! cant wait to see em get leggs n arms lol

Maybe dragonfly larva, sibyl? They get huge as tadpoles before they turn into teeny tiny frogs about a quarter of their tadpole size.
