I went to the store today but they didn't have any AV plant food. And now I don't have any money to buy anything else until October. I have a very tight budget.

Is it possible to use either miracle gro indoor outdoor plant food or miracle gro bloom booster plant food?

It is growing lots of leaves but no flowers.

Pick a fertilizer high in phosphorus and potassium and very low or no nitrogen.Phosphorus encourages blossoms potassium helps prevent disease nitrogen makes beautiful green leaves but does not make any blooms.I have pics. of some of mine,I've had them for years and don't know what they are could you help me?

Thankyou for the information on the plant food. I'll look at your pictures but my brain isn't working well today and I'm not understanding your question. Are you asking what kind of african violets they are? I just got my very first AV this summer and I know next to nothing about them so I don't think I'll be much luck but I'll try.

they get bright indirect light. I have other planters infront of them to block the direct sun.

They are in a pot and saucer combination it is ceramic. I have a wick in it and water from the bottom.

below the saucer I have a humidity tray.

the pot/saucer combo with the wick sounds okay. they can will probably start blooming if they get some direct sunlight.

before i had a plant stand with a light, my av's always did well in a west-facing window. any other spot, or one without direct light, and they'd grow new leaves but never bloom.

then i moved into that one apt...only place to put the plants was this one window (facing west) that darn av!! i'd had for years & it never bloomed (after the initial blooms when i got it). that thing became a bloomin' fool!!

try some more sunlight...make the change gradually over the course of a couple of weeks and see how it does. let me know, too!
