I found this delightful little flower in my yard. No one I know has ever seen such a colour before. Considering how delicate it looks, it is incredibly durable, very prolific - almost an instant spot filler! It is a ground hugger, the blooms are twinned, about 5/8" across and it grows, blooms and seeds continuously throughtout the spring, summer and fall. It is so durable I almost believe it grows under our 6 feet of snow in the winter!! I would love to know what it is and have a name to call it.

I have something like that growing in my garden. I haven't seen any blooms on it yet. I'll have to let it go and see if it gets flowers. They are nice looking. And I'm always looking for agressive plants for that side of the garden.

I love the sweet scents wafting in the breeze. I stop to admire the vibrant colors of all living things. And people think me odd. Then ODD I am!!!

WTG RugbyHukr you did it again. I'll definitely be watching this one. It's easy to spot since it looks like a miniature zinnia before it gets it's blooms.

Yes, yes. I read somewhere that it's toxic to livestock, so don't eat too much ;) . Also, it's an annual, so if you like it, let it self seed.
