I'm not sure where I put the topic about this plant. But I did want to say that I divided it and it recovered very well and I have now given half of it away to a friend. It is really looking healthy. So thankyou everyone who helped me identify it and taught me to care for it properly. It's a great plant.

So glad to hear you've been successful with your dividing. I know how nerve racking it can me...." Should I? Shouldnt I?" Next time you're ready to divide remember me as a candidate for "the other half".......continued luck!

Ok you have a deal. I think it will be awhile it has two bare spots where I want it to fill in before I divide it again.

The only Oyster Plant I know is salsify, and you don't divide them. What is yours like?

not the salsify that's a flower this is a house plant that is sort of vine like.

This is Tradescantia zebrina the one that is totally green on the topside and totally purple on the bottomside of the leaf.

It was identified as an oyster plant to me in an earlier post.
