They lay them out of the water.....last year it was up on one of my plants, high up.....the more snails you have, the cleaner your pond is! And when they are born they are TEENY tiny.
i'm so glad you posted this last year. the snails in the fish tank at work laid eggs and one of the students wanted to know what they were, i'm happy they can come home to my pond!
My snail laid eggs, somewhere, and I now have pretty big babies. Do your snail grow quickly? My snails are probably quickly approaching the size of a dime. But, there is an abundance of algae in my pond.
Mine haven't even hatched open yet.....last year when they did they were TEENY tiny for a long time. Like the size of a pencil top eraser. Not sure how many are in each egg sac. I'd say at least 25.
Okay, I keep looking and looking for snail eggs and I never seem to be able to find them, despite the fact that I've gone from 1 snail to about 11-13ish. Come to find out, my snails don't lay eggs but have live birth, how weird is that?
