Well, we didn't, but Maddie did! Maddie was allowed to come home yesterday and it was a wonderful surprise! We found out she was coming home early on Tuesday. So, we got home at 4:00, drank a bottle, took some medicine, and then went out for dinner with some close family friends. Nobody knew she was coming, so it was a great surprise for them.
Last night went great. We set the alarm clock for all of her feedings (we're not allowed to let her sleep through any of them) and she was awake and ready for her bottle each time. She never once cried. Actually, she has only cried once since she got home and it was because the home nurse stopped in for a visit and delayed her feeding for a bit. She was REALLY upset.
We brought her home wearing a green outfit that has cows on it. Gramma (cowlover) LOVED it. We took pictures of her leaving the NICU and I'll post them later today when i have more time. Gramma holds Maddie for Gramma time and I get computer or eating time then. Nobody wants to put her down...because we've waiting a long time to just sit and hold her without nurses coming or bells going off.
So, that's everything in a nut shell...I am going to eat a bit and then I'll come back and post pictures for you all. Oh....yesterday was Maddie's 8 week birthday...cool timing in my opinion.
I'm so happy for all of you. I've been reading all of your posts for several weeks now. She is an absolutely precious little treasure! I can't even imagine how happy you are to actually have her home now. Way to go Maddie!

If you never have you should. These things are fun and fun is good.
Thrilled that she is home, now you will feel like a family, because everybody is home, and you can start getting on with your lives all together. Love to you all.
That is AWESOME, Jenn! Congratulations to you all. She is sooooooooooo pretty, I love the picture with Stephen where they are "watching" Star Trek! Doesn't look like she's too interested in Star Trek, but she certainly looks content!
in the one of just her in the carrier/carseat thing, looks like shes thinking now what is this contraption they have me in? The star trek one is precious!
