so, i said i'd post about the bead work i'm doing on kate's veil, but then, i spent several hours the other day working on her flowers and the veil, so i thought i'd just dedicate a topic to her wedding crafts that i am doing.

here are the flowers, these will be the bride's maid's flowers. i'll post the rest as they get finished.

this pic is with the flash

and this one is without

and the beading detail. you can see that there will be two rows on each piece but the second row isn't finished on either. not even started on one lol

there will be a double row of beads on the front too.
actually, there is only 2 parts to it, but the piece that covers her face, then flips back will have the double row on both sides so it will be "right side out" either way.

thank you. it is so wrinkled because i have it folded into a ziploc bag with just the ends sticking out so i can work on it. i take it every where, and when i'm just sitting (riding in the car, if scott is driving, waiting at a restaurant, dr. office, etc) i work on it. and work on it. and work on it.

it is really going fast, but feels like it is taking forever!

Very cool Jiffy, I like seeing the progress of the veil since I sat with you while you were working on it in WA. Looking great.

And I really like the flowers......they aren't too busy and overdone. thumbup

she's pretty happy, especially since i got sick right about the time i finished it. for a while she was convinced that i had messed my hands up with the beading, but i didn't.

we wanted something on it, but didn't want the real rings. and we didn't like the fake rings, so we were debating when i found those charms. too perfect. and joe's already talking about putting it in a shadow box after the wedding thumbup

You are so talented Jiffy! I'm sure they would be sooooo happy! Just my little idea...you know how people sometimes give out seed packets as favors, I read somewhere you can make a seed card and plant the card after you read it to grow...I was thinking if you can make a sheet of large seed tape and make little flowers...each guest can take one home and plant their own memory!
