I want to make these for my nieces and nephews for Christmas this year but I am wondering how big I should make them? Has anybody made them?

I never made one but someone made and gave me one. You mean the ones that are 2 pieces of fleece then you cut a fringe around the edge and tie the fringe from front to back right? I would think any size, like the size of their beds. Let me go look for and measure mine...............

That is exactly what I am talking about. I wondered how many yards to make them? I would love it if you measured it for me!!

Jessica, we made those in Home League at church!! We gave them to a homeless shelter! The 60" that Wrennie said sounds good, but I'd add another foot to the legnth so they will be long enough that their feet won't stick out as they grow! I don't like quilts or blankets that don't have enough to tuck in on both sides of me or lets me get it snuggled up around my head and my feet come uncovered!!! grin

I agree Shirley! I thought I would just buy 2 yards of each piece of fleece that I am going to use. That would make it around 72" long including the fringes. That should be good right? That way I know that they will be big enough.

Better check how wide the fleece is first. I've bought fleece before and it was only 45 inches wide.

The stuff I have been looking at is 58" wide. Do you think that will work?

Thanks again Wrennie! Jo-Ann's has their fleece 30% off right now so I would like to start buying it.
