Well, I'm happy to report my hardy hibiscus is FINALLY blooming! The flowers are bigger than my hand! Pretty white blooms with a hint of pink at the edge and a bit of red in the center.

The buds look like white cuban cigars!

loz, i love your cleome....there is a house that burned last year, they are starting to rebuild, just the foundation and a cedar fence is all that is built. but just beyond the fence is a HUGE bed of those just swaying in the breeze!

Everything looks so healthy Loz. I've got quite a bit blooming here but it's been raining again.

I also have red astilbes that bloomed pink this year and a pink day lily that bloomed orange. There has been some 'jumping of the fence' so to speak. lol

Pretty pics! I love nasturtiums. The leaves are yummy in a salad. Blooms too just pinch out the pistil and stamen first. Kinda freaks people out to watch me eat a flower!

Gorgeous! Love the sunflower, they are such happy plants! Mine are pretty much bloomed. I was shocked at how large my rudbeckia has gotten in two years, it looks like a bush!

The nasturtiums are just beautiful!

That's what crocosmia looks like! Cool! I got some from Oregon in the early spring. I assume they;ll bloom next spring. Pretty! Hey I have a tub like your white waves are in. I may have to drag it out next year.

I love all your pink flowers Lynne. Is there one spot you can tep back and get a wide shot of lots blooming at once. I like the close ups, but also the 'big picture'.

The waves in the tub actually are a really light lavender with a little darker throat. The color didn't show up that great in the pic though. I planted waves in that tub last year and I just love it! They fill in their really nice. I will continue that every year!

I thought the crocosmia were spring bloomers too but those just started blooming a couple weeks ago for me and have been going strong since. Alan sent me the bulbs sometime last summer. I planted them last fall and I was so happy when they came up! Good luck with yours Wrennie! Can't wait to see them next year!

Me either. Theyre only a few inches tall so unless they give a late bloom I dont think I'l see them this year.

Ya know, Wrennie... most of my flowering "plants" aren't all that impressive as a whole... but I can usually find one or two really nice blooms on them to share - that's why I don't post pics of the "big picture"...

Now here's a horse of a different [b][color:#FF6666] color! lol
