James from Oregon responds, "This can vary based on your hardiness zone and soil, as well as the amount of time you have to tend your crops; but there are many fruits and vegetables which are fairly simple to grow and will yield your family with tasty harvests.

Fruits: Strawberries, Tomatoes

Vegetables: Beets, Cabbage, Carrots, Celery, Corn, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Garlic, Onions, Okra, Peppers, Potatoes, Sunflowers, Herbs, Radishes, Squash, Zucchini

Leafy Greens: Arugula, Kale, Lettuce, Spinach, Swiss Chard
