rUNS WITH ROBINS......THIS MORN.

'Tis a Blue Jay, Dodge. Found in the city, but MORE often found in the country. It's a relative of Crows, Ravens, and Magpies, and is a member of the Corvids. They LOVE to eat peanuts, IN the shell, shell and all, and like to have the peanuts placed on a table top or platform feeder. Here is a picture of one I took at my feeders using my daughter's Canon S5, before I got MY Canon.

Blue Jays are WONDERFUL birds. SUPREMELY intelligent and social. They, like Crows, MAY have a complex and rich language, equal to ANY human language in many ways. And, a little known fact, they are EXCELLENT mockers, like Mockingbirds. Most people notice ONLY their, "Jay! Jay!" call, not knowing that they can and do make a large variety of unrelated sounds. They imitate hawks PERFECTLY, make a sound like a rusty barn door hinge, and also make a, "Too-Loo, Too-Loo" sound. They are remarkable birds!

I had to coolmy heels since thursday am.......Fell off a step ladder and landed on the snow blower...........

I was in my carriage house on a ladder getting down load of plastic boxes, it threw me off balance and I landed on the blades of the snow blower......How stupid I was....
