I am a gardener and a biologist in Cincinnati. I was "trained" as a gardener in the South and had to do some readjusting when we moved here eight years ago. I actually cried when I discovered what the last frost date was in Cincinnati. But, just like my huge old rose bush (about 8' tall) that got blown over in a downpour a few days ago is bound to do, I got over it. This year I planted collards! Yeah.

Nice to meet you all.

Quick spot of help needed--. I see a flashing "new private message" icon but can't figure out where it is. Clicking on it only takes me to my own message. Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks. And thanks for the welcome!
