I'm good!

I feel productive because I ate my dinner, scoured the bathroom, swept the kitchen floor AND ran the dishwasher! Little Miss Busy Me.

Can't wait til Maxi gets home on Friday, though.

You got more done today than I did. There is still a lot that Maxi can help you with.

good for you on all that cleaning merme! I had a ME day today. I was off and did a lot of reading and spending time with my parakeet. also did a few errands in town, but most of that was want to and not have to stuff. I love ME days! I don't have many of those anymore since I'm working again.
gotta ask...???? what's up with dumping the buckets of water? does she not have a tub or sink or a tolit? what's she doing up there???
sheri, have you tried a local shelter/outreach center for your area for a skeleton? we have an excellent center in our town. me and hubby volunteer from time to time, nothing regular. but, the director there knows LOTS of people in the community and you just never know who they know and what the people they know would be willing to donate...or what has already been donated that is in storage just waiting for someone who could really use it to give it to. just a thought.

Cricket I have NO IDEA what she is dumping up there but she does it all the time!

Then they put a bird feeder up there which made a huge mess on my porch, right where we have to walk.... I'm constantly dragging it in with me.

It sounds like you had a nice day, though. What kind of work do you do?

I'm doing house cleaning with a friend. I used to give my heart and soal to corporate america, then had to quit work to take care of a fam member. after 3 years at home with my kids I just couldn't go back to the startched shirts and leaving my kids for 12-13 hours each day. So now I put the kidos on the bus, drive one mile, load up with my buddy/boss, and we clean houses locally. we hit the bank on the way home, cash money each day, and I'm home about the time my kidos hit the door. I feel I have the best of both worlds now.
very strange about the water dumping?
I did have a very nice day. almost makes me wish I was still not working, but I know after a couple of weeks I'd be talking to the dogs a bit too much again! ha ha

Your work sounds ideal, Cricket.

I did housekeeping for people when I was young, also. It is a good way to make money.

When you are young and strong you can always find a way to turn a dollar if need be.

I made turkey stock for an eventual soup and got everything I wanted into the freezer.

your like the energizer bunny this evening, merme.

I hit a resale shop when I was in town this morning. it is a brand new one. I rarely walk away from one without something or another, but no luck at this one. it was mainly cloths. overly priced cloths for a resale shop at that. no kitchen gadgets, only about 15 books, no movies, no nothing. oh well. I did get my new tire which was my only 'have to' errand for the day.

We have a kick butt retail shop up in Portland. There are many such places around, of course, but this place is really special. They carry a little bit of everything and set the prices way way low. We often also donate to them.

I love a good resale shop!

Glad you got your tire.

I need some new clothes myself but won't be shopping for them any time soon!

Hello Cricket. It's cooooooold here today. I'm going to have to wear my coat in my little office. I think it's colder in here than outside - not really. It's just cold everywhere.

oohhhhh, sorry it's so cold there today. we had a cold one, for us, yesterday, but today will get into the upper 70's. I have my shorts and t-shirt on today.

(ever wonder why shorts, pants, slacks are plural words - or why they're called a pair? I understand a pair of shoes-there are two of them, but why a pair of shorts??? its just ONE article....hhmmmm, things that make you go hhhhmmmm)

Good morning. I am still trying to shake off a hard night. Two cups isn't enough today.

hi Belinda. Where have you been?

Tina, are you sick?

I'm on the phone making a report to DSS.

It has to do with the way they are constructed, Cricket. If you look at a pair of pants, you have two matching pieces sewn together down the middle. Two things that match are "a pair".

I've got a busy day today, so I'll see you all later!

Morning,
It has been a slow start today- got up early and then suddenly got stiff and so sore had to eat so I could take meds, they worked but was really glad Joe was here to help me get Mom and the boys fed... had to sit for awhile and take a hot bath to feel okay.... must be the 40* drop in temps since yesterday- no snow so far but it is on it's way tonight I think.... mts are covered with wispy foggy clouds... no blue sky anywhere.
Guess I better get busy now and make up for late start- gotta get the house done up and have laundry to get done too- need to iron tonight or Joe will be going to work with no shirts--- and it's way to cold for that!

No Sheri. I am not sick. Thank you for asking. I just had one of those nights where I kept waking. That is unusual for me. I sleep good for the hours I sleep (about six). I took Ted to school this morning. Came home and took John off to the hospital. I left him there for a transfusion. I am back home for a few minutes before it is time to go out and shop a wee bit and pick up my son. Then I might get a nap before time to pick John up later. This is a normal Wednesday for me.
I am sorry you need to call DSS today. That cannot be pleasant. And the reasons for it must be even more unpleasant.
