Good Afternoon,

We are building a deck in our backyard and I am going to have to relocate 4 clematis that I have had for about 10-15 years. They are soooo gorgeous when in bloom and I dread losing them.

I live in Cleveland which I believe is zone 5. When would be the best time to transplant them and is there any special tips any of you might have?

when transplanting anything, always water well and deeply after transplanting to help the plant settle in. clematis like 'their head in sun and bottom (roots) in shade.'
