Mine had flowers like that as well and a shiny base...they would not drink out of it at all.

Mine is without flowers. I been seeing one a day, but I arent fast enough to get the camera....... What do you use for food ? I put a teaspoon melted sugar in that small one.

Maybe they don't like the pure cane sugar that came with mine. I'll make a new batch with regular sugar but I don't think there's that much difference.

 I used regular sugar and warm water to melt it in.. then cooled it with cold. I better get educated too.

I'm going to remove the bell and if that doesn't work it has to be the flowers. I can't do anything about the flowers.

I'll make a new batch with regular sugar but I don't think there's that much difference. my regular sugar is pure cane--C & H and Domino's are both pure cane---that is all I use--and I have not ever had any problem. I have the plain glass feeders, like Leola's, though--no flowers or such as decoration.
